Missions have always been a focus of Resurrection Life Church. Our lead pastor, Duane Vander Klok, and his wife Jeanie were missionaries in Mexico for many years before they returned to pastor ResLife. A percentage of every offering goes to support missionaries and mission organizations across the world.

ResLife supports over 17 local outreaches to the inner city, for both adults and children. Some of these local outreaches, Dream Center, Street Light, and Power House, offer the opportunity for you to be involved.

Every week we help spread the solid biblical teachings that we get from Pastor Duane Vander Klok by broadcasting them around the world on television through the ministry of Walking By Faith, as well as via the internet.

If you have a heart for missions you’ll want to see what God is doing through ResLife!

Local Outreach

Our most recent local mission is the CAP Program. Through ResLife’s sponsorship and Crisis Aid, the CAP program works with local law enforcement. Our desire is to eventually build a rescue house here in Grand Rapids. We have an office inside the Wyoming Police department. When a child exhibits at-risk behavior, or are involved with things that could result in their harm, they are referred to the CAP Program to divert their path to even greater danger and make a way to come to Christ.

Help those in need in the Grand Rapids area by bringing in items to stock our Food Pantry shelves. Your donations are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at the Food Pantry table in the Ground Floor concourse (by the stairs) at any time, or on weekdays at the front office (door G) during office hours. See your weekly bulletin for a list of needs by month.

Prison Ministry

The Prison Ministry, led by Yago Williams, makes weekly efforts to reach the lost and hurting people in the prison system of Michigan. We minister the life-changing power of God through preaching the Word, sharing testimonies of God’s changing power, providing discipleship for former and current inmates, mentoring inmates, encouraging through music, and ministering to children of incarcerated parents through Angel Tree. Volunteers meet on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm in Room 115. All are welcome!

Grand Rapids Dream Center

The Grand Rapids Dream Center is a movement that builds trusted relationships through weekly consistency and authenticity inside the communities of our city. Our heart is to lead people to a totally committed relationship with Christ. We do this by mobilizing God’s people outside the church walls through multiple outreaches and impacts in the areas of community, delivery, and learning.

Safe Families

When a family is in crisis, kids can become vulnerable to neglect and abuse. No family should experience this. Through the Safe Families for Children ministry, volunteer Host Families offer loving care to parents, watching over their children while the parents regain stability.

Res Life also supports Safe Families through Bethany Christian Services.  Safe Families for children keeps families together during difficult times.

Street Light Ministries

Street Light is an inner-city outreach with opportunities for ministry to adults and children including Bible study, a coffee house, hamburger night, and street evangelism. We have many opportunities for ministry. We’re looking for volunteers who have a heart for people.
