House of Hope Construction

We are so thankful to our congregation, community, and contractors for all of the contributions that have come in for the House of Hope Project! This project will continue to be our focus for 2024. We ask for your continued support to change the lives and future of the girls who will make the House of Hope their home.

  • Ground breaking ceremony on May 9.
  • Construction both inside and out continues.
  • Work is going on inside the building, constructing walls, duct work, and electrical wiring.

The House of Hope will provide ministry and a safe place for girls caught in the horrors of sex trafficking. Crisis Aid International will manage and staff the House of Hope, located on the ResLife property. Below are photos of the ground breaking event and some of the work as it has progressed:

Letter From Pastor Duane and Jeanie

Dear Friends and Family,

Jeanie and I want to thank you for your partnership in the ministry and mission of ResLife Church. We are here to win souls and make disciples, and your generous support makes a difference in the lives of many people through our missions locally and globally. In our generosity, we find the true meaning and purpose for our lives. The ministry and mission of our church would not happen without the spiritual and financial gifts of our members and friends.

As we look ahead, we are excited to see how God is moving in and through our church. As a result of your support, The House of Hope is expected to open this summer serving victims of sex trafficking in West Michigan. We also look forward to finding a space to open a Ministry Center, which will provide training, resources, and ministry programs for youth, young adults, and families in the community.

Jeanie and I are so thankful to God for your faithful support. Your generosity has encouraged and empowered the mission and ministry of ResLife Church and is a tangible example of Christ’s love alive in the world today. We love you.

In Christ,

Pastor Duane and Jeanie Vander Klok

1 Thessalonians 1:2-3 (NKJV) We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father.

Philippians 4:17 (NKJV) that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.

LIVES CHANGED 2024

On January 14, we had our first Baptism Services of 2024.  There were 100 people who chose to take the next step in their journey with Christ.

Baptism declares that you are a follower of Jesus Christ. It is a public confession of your faith in, and commitment to, Jesus Christ. It is the next step after salvation through repentance and faith and is an important foundation of Christian life.

Our next Baptism service is March 17.

    PRAY FIRST 2024

We know that prayer is powerful. It draws us close to God and brings results and unity as we seek Him together. In January we set aside 21 days to seek God FIRST with daily topics and verses, promises, and prayers that we can stand on in faith. Over 550 people a day watched the Pray First daily videos and total views this year were 11,600 with hundreds of prayer requests. You can still join in any time on our  YouTube Pray First Playlist.

We also invite you to go through the YouVersion Bible Plan. with over 4,700 other subscribers.  Download the Bible app and search for the plan: Pray First: Seek • Pray • Unite

    UNITE FAMILY CONFERENCE

Uniting Families in Christ. On February 3, over 700 people united to celebrate family time by worshiping together, playing games and activities that included inflatables, doing crafts, family photos, and enjoying a meal with other families at the event.

It was a great day to set aside some time to have fun and most of all worship God together.

    Global Missions

We partner locally and globally with other ministries. Last year we gave over $2,500,000 to send the gospel all around the world!

    Pakistan

    • The Walking by Faith program is aired weekly on the ShineStar network in Pakistan. Pastor Duane’s messages have been translated in to the local language and we have had many reports of salvations and healings. A missions team has been sent to Pakistan on two separate visits to the refuge camp that ResLife supports and the brick kilns to preach the gospel of Jesus and baptize people. A well has been built to provide fresh water in one of the villages that they visited.

      CAP PROGRAM

The Children’s Anti-Exploitation Partnership (CAP) Program here in West Michigan is located inside the Wyoming Police Department. This program helps police officers connect children and teens identified with at risk behavior and their families to a CAP advocate for counseling and mentorship. ResLife funds this program through Crisis Aid International to manage and staff it to the highest capability. This is a tremendous blessing in our community!
